How does a company outing with Go Mystery work?

Arranging a Mystery Tour is simple, and requires very little planning:

  1. Order your Mystery Tour: We recommend buying and picking up the game boxes from Amaliegade in advance. That way you will be ready to go right away.
  2. Check the Hint Handbook: As the organizer of the tour, you may want to open the Hint Handbook in advance and read the section called ”Multiple teams on the same tour”. This section helps you in making teams and planning routes.
  3. Divide into teams: Divide everyone into teams in advance. 4-5 people per team is optimal to make sure everyone stays active. Pick one of the five starting locations for each team (see the Hint Handbook). If you have more than five teams, you may want to have teams 6-10 wait for 10-15 minutes before starting, in order to avoid queues at the task sites.
  4. Get started: When the day of the Mystery Tour comes, you may want to give a short introduction, and make sure everyone knows their routes.

Complete the day

Copenhagen is full of fantastic restaurants. We recommend finishing your Mystery Tour at a local bistro or cafe, and sharing how you solved the various riddles.

It's well worth spending a few hours on foot in the heart of Copenhagen, using your brain to solve riddles while noticing details in the area you've never seen before. The Nyhavn Murder reveals hidden details in the city that you'll need to solve the puzzles.

Put your mind to the test with a captivating murder mystery. Beautifully designed material and a gripping case that take you back to Copenhagen in the year 1836. An absolutely fantastic experience.
Mette Maj
A super fun and active murder mystery that takes you all around the city while teaching you about its history and Hans Christian Andersen. A well-crafted experience where your teamwork and logic are truly put to the test. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who loves puzzles or wants to learn more about Copenhagen’s past.

If you divide your teams evenly across the different routes, up to 35-40 people can participate at the same time. We recommend teams of 4-5 people for optimal team dynamics, and making sure every has a chance to participate. If you are part of a larger company, simply purchase the amount of game boxes you need for your amount of teams.

”The Murder in Nyhavn” takes around 2½-3 hours to complete. As the experience is 100% in your hands, you can add breaks as needed, making it an easy element to add to a full-day excursion. If needed, a time limit can be set for the event. Ask your teams to use the Hint Handbook if they get stuck on a riddle.

You do not. This is the unique aspect of Go Mystery. Our concept is analog and offline. Everything you need is found in the game box. Your colleagues will get a break from screens, and a chance to focus on being present and working with their team.

Mystery Tours were not designed for competition, as it would be trivial to cheat using the Hint Handbook. We do, however, recommend sharing your solutions to the various riddles with your colleagues. This is sure to add an extra layer of entertainment to your team building experience in Copenhagen.

Go Mystery provides great exercises in teamwork. Our riddles require both logical thinking, creativity and good communication, making it a perfect team building exercise. All of your colleagues will have a chance to participate actively. You can even participate as a large group, as long as you split up on the different routes.
